Hi Rashad, thx for your reply, which I'm noticing right now. I gave up on urban extraction, but I indeed tried to make road extraction work and looked at ExtractRoadExample. It's built while compiling OTB, but it does not work here ... First I think there's an error in the source code, since calling ./ExtractRoadExample -h claims 12 parameters: Usage: ./ExtractRoadExample inputFileName outputFileName firstPixelComponent secondPixelComponent thirdPixelComponent fourthPixelComponent amplitudeThrehsold tolerance maxAngleangularThreshold firstMeanDistanceThreshold secondMeanDistanceThreshold distanceThreshold but it should be 13 (MaxAngle missing). I did find out while comparing with the GUI of the RoadExtractionApplication from the outdated OTB-LiveCD ...
So I inserted the missing parameter as well, e.g.: ./ExtractRoadExample ~/Downloads/Data/Input/qb_RoadExtract.img ~/road.tif 307 500 375 747 0.00005 1.0 0.4 0.39 2.1 30.3 16.7 with 0.4 MaxAngle. It seems to work, since road.tif is generated and no error or warning was given. But the tiff is empty ... So I want to know if you/somebody has an idea why ... And I'd like to know how to build the RoadExtractionApplication as it is on the Live-CD. Where is the source code in the current OTB for these nice GUI-applications?
