Ron and others, I thought I'd let you know that we had a similar article recently in a daily paper here in Melbourne - amongst other things the author wrote of the key role the physiotherapist played in assisting someone (an older person who'd fallen at home and been hospitalized) to return to "activities of daily life"(!). The OTs' where I work were so fired up we rang the paper and offered them an explanation of the usual role of OT in just such a situation....the journalist proceded to shock us all by offering to include an article on our organisation (a disability equipment advisory and information service) and to speak about the role of OT(we gave him a few pointers there!) . I know someone on this list suggested a few weeks ago that contacting the media can be worthwhile, where an inaccurate or incomplete statement regarding OT may have been made, to whomever that person is, may I offer you my thanks and a cyber pat on the back ( - ;...it sure worked for us! currently chuffed, David
