I had a nice experience yesterday with someone who truly understood OT and thought I'd share it with you.
I met my husband's childhood friends from Israel last night. My husband told the woman that I was a doctor of occupational therapy and she just about fell off her chair. She was so excited and told me that I was exactly what she needed. She's been trying to find "balance between her mind, body and spirit." We talked at length about finding meaning in the occupations of your life. This was all without any explanation or defiition of occupation or meaning. It was really exciting for me-- maybe someday people in the United States will have as much understanding and regard for occupational therapy :) Wendy Stav, PhD, OTR/L, CDRS ******************** Unsubscribe?
