Where I work, we fabricate "stump boards" or residual limb boards for wheelchairs to position and support a below knee amputee's residual limb. You can use tri-wall or several layers of thick cardboard (so it doesn't bend), eggcrate foam, and cover with stockinette. The board is placed between the wheelchair cushion and the wheelchair.
