6 hours per day is even a little low ( I think this is 75%).  A lot in MS want 85%  Main reason I hate nursing home work.  Mostly I write POCs and supervise 2 COTAs at 2 LTCs. The productivity requirement for me as PRN there is only 50%.  I work about 6 hours per week at each.   My own treatments I do in home health.  I consider HH a much better fit for OT.  I know Ron said ADLs are an A word but I think ADLs are a great part of OT and important occupations for my frail elderly population. My preference would be to only work in HH.  But we have 4 kids, my husband doesn't make enough for all of us, so I supervise in LTC.  I would not want to work in LTC because of the productivity requirement and because OTs so much UE PT there.  But if I had to, I would do it.  -- Jody
