I am the one that is new to this, but I did just get my provider number and am an independent contractor. The problems I am running into are that I provide services in the patient's home but am not part of a larger home health agency. That is making it tricky, and there are not a lot of people available who can answer questions. I don't think they are being mean or unwilling. I just think they don't know the answers.
