For me, the COPM was a GREAT tool to begin my "training". Also, it's not just an assessment. Instead, it's part of a comprehensive approach to treating patients. Just identifying occupational deficits/goals without treating them is really just a waste of time.
Enabling occupation is really a way of 'being' with patients. It's much more than being client-centered and it's more than just having occupational goals. I guess in reality, it's both.
