I assume the answer is probably "yes", but I though I would ask, in case there are obscure complications...
I run the Pidgin software plus OTR on Debian at home and I have to use Windows at work :-( Can I simply copy my otr.private_key file (in the .purple/ dir) from Linux to Windows, so as to have the same key in both locations? I used the Guardian Project keysync program to export my OTR key from the Debian(testing) machine into ChatSecure on my Samsung Galaxy S3. This was reasonably straightforward, although I ended up having to do a manual copy (to the phone) of the exported data generated using the command-line version (keysync) rather than keysync-gui, which hung up whilst sync-ing. Just though I would mention this ... Thanks for any advice! -- Guy _______________________________________________ OTR-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.cypherpunks.ca/mailman/listinfo/otr-users
