I think you installed OTRS on SuSE Linux 8.1!?
I work on SuSE Linux 8.2 (the way is the same as on 8.1 or 8.0).
a) Install the SuSE RPM packages 'gd' and 'perl-GD' (e. g. from
ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/suse/i386/8.1/suse/i586/).
b) Install 'GD::Text::Align' and 'GD::Graph' via CPAN (no RPM available).
shell> perl -MCPAN -e shell;
cpan> -=>first time you have to configure cpan - always enter<=-
cpan> install GD::Text::Align
cpan> install GD::Graph
-=> Then the bin/mkStats.pl works fine.
