The info about sending mails is in Kernel/Config/Defaults.pm (default settings, see also http://doc.otrs.org/1.2/en/html/configfile.html for more info about the config file mechanism and http://doc.otrs.org/1.2/en/html/sending-email.html for the sending mail options).
