I do not think help can given without some more info (i.e. contents of
mail log, what platform, and what you did ... etc etc). Can you send mail
anyway with your usual mail client for instance.

By default Linux will use either the Postfix or Exim mailer to deal with
mail delivery, OTRS will use this and so long as the mail daemon is
configured correctly this should work. Windows... well could be more
interesting in the same general terms as the old chinese curse. I do get
the impression that there is a slight lack of experience with mail service
configuration here...
