In newer releases of the OTRS Windows installer I made sure Sys::Syslog is installed, so you can use it if you want. Also I'd like to switch to using the Windows event log by default in the 'future', meaning probably for OTRS 3.3.
Great news. There’s no excuse these days for inventing your own logging mechanism. That’s what OS logging facilities are for. (Didn’t we learn this lesson in OS/360, say, 40+ years ago? *sigh*)
