I think anyone who intends to keep a thread on outages because they have
additional /useful /information to add would know how to change to the
To: line back to outages.? OTOH, this change stops all the chatter from
folks just hitting reply on the main list without losing the information
sent.

This is a lot of my feedback as well. You're depending upon the mail client
to actually accept and obey a reply-to. Also lots of people compulsively
hit reply-all as opposed to reply and thus you'll still get me-too
responses.

It's not a bad suggestion, just I think one that's not going to solve the
problem. A good step in the right direction.

Did people see mail flow through fast enough?

Reply-to set to me.

I am in agreement here. I would rather not push confirmations to a
different list. The problem with the Facebook outage was that it also
impacted this list. Typically you don't have that many me too messages.
Maybe 4 or 5. But because nobody else saw a confirmation, they were just
chiming in to confirm. Then when everything got unclogged, the backlog
inundated us. This was a one-off. I wouldn't change policy based on this
singular issue.

When did you send this one? The DTG always looked current even on the ones
that were behind.
