20 minutes ago I was not getting any replies in Argentina.
However currently, I am getting replies from all five servers.

me -> level3 -> HE -> across HE to NYC. traceroutes to ns[1-5]
all take the same path.
from los angeles (one wilshire):
ns[1-3]: me -> level3 -> HE
ns[4-5]: me -> any2 -> HE
