Been trying some DVDs in my iMac and my wife's Pismo Powerbook.
Some work and some don't.
The one that works is a Tropfest DVD featuring range of short films
which I bought. No problems on either machine

The ones that don't work are those from the video shops. They just whir
away and DVD player can't recognise the disk. Tried both OS10.1.4 and
9.2 on iMac DV and Pismo has 9.1.
Might they be copy protected like some of the new audio CDs?

any ideas folks?
