G'day all,

I've been having fun lately with my OS X, Xpostfacto, ebay and mac clone...

I've had a Power Tower Pro for donkey's years and (when my iMac's PAV board decided to bite the big one) decided to brin it up to speed - literally ;)

So, $100 on an exciting auction, and a Sonnet Crescendo (400 MHz) plus ATI (PCI) card later, I got X to install with the help of Xpostfacto.

BTW: I had to buy the video card, because X won't install with the Twin Turbo that came with the PTP, but - now that it *is* installed, the card works! I've got a two monitor system! Whoohoo! ;)

The only down side - constant rhythmic hard drive access by 10.2.8 to the hard drive! Once a second! According to my research, a utility called "APM Tuner X" should do the trick - but I've googled and can't find it (I think it was originally written by some bloke in Japan, then hosted by coolmacguy - but both websites have gone to the big trash icon in the sky.

SO ... anyone have a copy in their archive that they'd care to send me?

Ta.

Miklos ;)
