Daniel: Well, it's pretty heavy... I weigh it and work out postage.
Everybody: Judging from the posts I've received (should I change to
digest or is this volume unusual?) I think most would agree that...
1) we all value our old Macs, both emotionally and dollar-wise
2) selling them is a wildly optimistic proposition, and even giving
them away seems to be too much to expect.
In short, saving them from landfill means we have to be able to move
them around at absolute minimal cost. For hardware this practically
precludes postage, so pickups are the way to go.
I also think that many of us have heaps of bits and pieces that we have
that are surplus, and a wish-list of items that we want to acquire.
Perhaps we should be making both lists publicly available and see what
happens? Get a network-thing happening.
I'm going to go through my stuff and list it all hopefully in then next
week or so.
