Senior Software Automation QA Engineer Duties: § Review and contribute to requirements and designs to ensure quality at the start of the development lifecycle. § Craft test scripts using SilkTest and other programming tools to exercise and verify test cases. Perform manual testing of web applications, Java applications with inputs/outputs, interactive voice calls, and mail, Email, Fax, and SMS applications. § Design, develop, enhance and execute comprehensive test case scenarios that will fully exercise software applications under test to ensure that products meet specification and are free from defects. § Analyze, document, and verify system change requests (defects, enhancements, new features, production patches). § Perform data validation by developing (and / or) executing SQL queries against SQL Server database. § Provide production support for SAAS application architecture Requirements: § Experience testing web-based or client/server software products for a fast growth company using Agile development methodologies § Experience in working with small dynamic software engineering teams § Strong knowledge of QA process and methodologies. § Strong test automation skills (SilkTest a must) including using engineering skills to build reusable, extendible, and robust libraries of test modules § Project Management experience a plus § Strong knowledge of XML, SQL, HTML (VXML, Java a plus). § Ability to create clear, concise defect submissions. § Ability to troubleshoot software defects and identify root cause. § Experience in writing test plans. § Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Excellent team collaboration skills Experience and Education: § 6+ years Quality Assurance experience. § 6- year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent technical training and professional work experience.
