.NET Developer with BROKERAGE EXP
Location :* NYC, Midtown
*Duration :* 6 months
*RATE :* OPEN

It is a .Net position that is exclusive to me. MUST HAVE
FINANCIAL/BROKERAGE EXPERIENCE! Please only submit candidates that have all
the skills required below.

The manager is looking for a .net developer (3.5), who is very strong with
Database optimization.

Also, the manager mentioned the best candidates that tend to do well in his
project have come from c++ server side programming. These guys tend to be
better in dealing with complexity in c# programming. So he wants someone
from a server side programming background. But the Data base optimization
experience is very important for him.

Here is the managers response to me
.NET client-server setup with a winforms client and a straight C# batch
calculation engine, and Oracle and Sybase DBs.
The application is the accrual calculation engine for prime brokerage, so
the basic problem we're trying to solve is how to scalably and reliably
model many very different client financing agreements in the UI and
calculation engine, keeping complexity down for the users and developers.
That said, the app is now nearing the end of its effective life, so we're
re-writing it using the latest features available with .NET 3.5 including
LINQ and WPF and Nhibernate as the persistence layer.
We also have parallel incremental upgrades to the current system and level
2/3 support (monitoring user question email) duties that rotate on a weekly
basis.

I'm looking more for a bright, motivated team player with strong CS and
DB/optimization background.

I'd like to see the majority of experience (especially early experience) to
come from server-side (C/C++, SQL, PERL, UNIX Shell, etc. rather than
VB/CGI/ASP) in the years before C# was invented.
I find this to be a good litmus test for dealing with complexity and deeper
CS issues, which VB/ASP abstract away for the developer.
I cannot stress highly enough how urgent this is.
