Location : NY Duration : 3 - 6 months Required : Face-Face Job Description : - Responsible for managing test hardware and servers for Collaboration Services product development and test teams - Support for development and test environments for custom Windows software and services - Role and responsibilities will be directly involved in the software development life cycle (SDLC) - Installation, configuration and troubleshooting complex systems consisting of custom and off the shelf software - Troubleshooting and support of network devices such as routers and switches - Provides desktop and laptop support for Collaboration Services team - Works on projects of all sizes (small, medium and large) - Working with on-shore and off-shore development, test and operations staff - Preparing and presenting status updates for tasks - Evaluating and building new tools, scripts and technologies to support job responsibilities - Ensuring project process is followed (assignment objectives, post assignment performance reviews, etc.) - Identifies ways to improve the operation of own area and to achieve efficiencies and results - Top Skills: In-depth and hands on Experience in installation and configuration of complex networks and network architecture and topologies design In-depth experience in Windows Active Directory, TCP/IP and routing protocols, DNS, DHCP, WINs, Cisco routers and switches, firewalls Experience with set up and management of vSphere Virtualization technology Good networking and trouble shooting skills are a must Requirements: - Minimum of 5 years networking experience. - In-depth and hands on Experience in complex WAN and LAN architecture and topologies design - In-depth hands on experience with common Network hardware and architecture including Cisco and F5 - In-depth experience in Active Directory, TCP/IP and routing protocols, DNS, DHCP, WINs, Cisco routers and switches, firewalls. - Excellent hardware and networking skills for Windows Operating Systems. - Install server OS and related applications i.e. virus software, backup etc. - Experience with set up and management of v Sphere Virtualization technology - Working experience in Data Center, software development and test environments. - Experience with configuration and troubleshooting of network devices - Some experience in scripting abilities (custom scripting for configuration management and network monitoring) - Manages machine and network inventory - Technical documentation skills such as network logical and physical diagrams - Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005 a plus - Has lead or mentored other network engineers - Must be a team player - Very Focused and Challenged - BS or equivalent in Computer Science, Networking or related field Nice to have: Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005 Experience with Microsoft Share Point Server Years of experience: Minimum of 5 years networking experience. More experience would be a plus.
