Equity and Options exchange is recruiting an experienced FIX Consultant to provide technical and business-related support, advice and assistance to both internal and external stakeholders. Required Skills 10+ years of software support experience, including production support, with at least 3 years working in the financial services industry 5+ years of experience supporting the FIX protocol, including the coordination of FIX certification for clients, and working with Testing and Development teams to identify and resolve issues Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related discipline Experience in debugging and performance tuning high volume, low latency systems Strong software development skills including Java server-side programming, multi-threading, concurrent processing, and sockets programming skills Fast learner, with the ability to rapidly gain an understanding of ISE’s systems and processes - General skills: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills - Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks - Ability to work with multi-disciplinary business, technical and client representatives - Ability to work to strict deadlines with minimal supervision - Team player Required Experience - Experience supporting and testing FIX-based systems in an Options trading environment - Previous experience working directly with internal groups including Software Quality Management, Product Management and Market Operations - Previous experience working directly with technical representatives from client firms - Previous experience working for an Options trading firm is highly desirable - Previous experience working with CertiFIX is highly desirable This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced FIX Consultant who is looking to expand their experience by working for a market-leading organization.
