* Location: Chicago Desired Start Date: 05/17/2010 Anticipated End Date: 12/31/2010 Position Description: Performs all or part of the software development life cycle, ranging from user analysis, design, and development to implementation and support of the User Interface layers to business applications. Development includes front-end applications. Facilitates and approves all environment changes. This includes but is not limited to software builds, migrations, server stops & starts, database structure changes, configuration changes, security access, and execution of batch and scripts. REQUIRED: Strong technical knowledge of multiple-level (client/server or n-tier) applications · Demonstrated experience in software development (Java preferred) or technical support of production applications, to include: · Unit, string, integration and performance testing · Application code promotion and configuration management (CVS preferred) · Programming and shell scripting for Unix (AIX preferred) · Using and supporting WebSphere, Eclipse or comparable development environment · Java code deployment; ANT scripts · Supporting production applications – incident response and troubleshooting · Desired (optional) work experience in: · Supporting and testing software and platforms for large, multi-site organizations · Complex development projects applying formal life cycle methodology · N-tier, OO software (UML, RUP, JSP/J2EE, Struts, WAS, MQ, XSL preferred) · Programming for relational database management systems (DB2, SQL preferred) · Mainframe development and runtime environments (CICS, TSO, JCL) · Network concepts and components (TCP/IP, DNS) · Web site administration · Test scripting, execution and documentation (Rational test suite, WinRunner, Junit) · End-user support and problem analysis · System & project documentation (PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Visio, and MS Excel) Regards, Sanjay Kumar COMNet Group Inc.
