These contractors will be working at various client sites, on behalf of
MicroStrategy; those that will stand out from the pack, and/or would be an
IDEAL fit for this type of role:
· Superior presentation, oral and written communication skills
· Ability to articulate complex topics to novice or technical audience
· Ability to translate technical advantages into tangible business benefits
· Polished and professional in both appearance, personal interaction, and
all communications
· And, of course, to be exceptional with BI / data warehousing / data marts
and MicroStrategy as well J
Job Duties (include but are not limited to):
· Provide billable consulting support to achieve account objectives and
production success. Services may include:
product installation
and implementation, enhancement, integration, or audit to meet customer
business requirements
· Perform information systems needs assessment, information gathering and
recommend appropriate business systems and IT
infrastructure for MicroStrategy customers
· Perform data modeling, application development, technical product
assistance and tuning to meet customer performance and
functional requirements
· Specify business systems (inputs, outputs, data, human and automated
interfaces) to meet information processing objectives for
MicroStrategy’s software platform
· Contribute to knowledge capital via project documentation and best
practice solutions
· Mentor other consultants
· Participate in sales activities, when appropriate
· Maintain and grow knowledge of BI functionality and technical skills
Job Requirements:
· Bachelors or equivalent degree in a business, technical or related field
is required
· At least 6-7 years Consulting or IT Consulting Experience
· Understanding of core Business Intelligence (BI)/data warehousing
technology: RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 and
Teradata, Web, Client/ Server, and OLAP
· Business Intelligence development experience and programming experience
(SQL, Visual Basic, C, C++); Web/Internet experience
(JAVA, HTML, ASP, XML, XSL, JavaScript)
· Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and business
requirements
· Application knowledge of the following industries: Consumer Packaged
Goods, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Telecommunications,
Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare and ERP
· Proven analytical and problem solving skills
· Experience with implementation methodologies
· Strong communication skills, both written and oral; Ability to build and
deliver presentations to all levels of the business and
effectively explain complex issues and concepts in simple,
understandable language
· Ability to mentor and lead a team of consultants
· Ability to work under minimal supervision
· Effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills
