The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control is seeking a senior level (n-tier) software (Java) developer who has 5 + years of solid, hands-on experience in: analyzing, coding, unit testing, and implementing Web-based applications development and support. Responsibilities involve applying industry standard best practices, design frameworks, and patterns along with making recommendations for process improvements, cost savings and technology issues. Qualified applicants should have ATLEAST 5 + years of knowledge (mid–sr level proficiency) of automated systems development life cycle (SDLC) as well as knowledge of business functions. Prior exp should involve development work that has been conducted in a multi-hardware and software environment; exp with OOA&D and/or RUP methodology is paramount. Hands-on experience with JAVA, EJB, JSP, Javascript, SQL and Oracle (10g) is REQUIRED. The demonstrated abilities to work with end users; interpret user statements; develop analytical reference and user/technical documents; communicate effectively both, orally and in writing will be expected. Excellent application analysis skills are required. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY and as a team member. Exp with Weblogic 8.1 application server is required. Recent exp as Team Lead in implementing a major enterprise-wide application is also required. This exp MUST BE clearly reflected on their resume! A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable work experience is preferred. Experience utilizing Servlets, Javascript, HTML, Eclipse, Ant, XML and Crystal Reports required.
