We are looking for someone who is passionate about data governance and who can help guide our efforts to explore, define, and manage our client’s data policies. The role of Data Governance Analyst will be the operational interface and corporate liaison for our client data governance team which is comprised of leaders and data stewards from various roles from throughout our client’s organization such as policy, privacy, legal, security, government affairs, PR, and customer care. This role will collaborate and lead client data stewards to guide data policy development and implementation at a global level, identifying and engaging key policy stakeholders as appropriate to collaboratively develop and implement data policy. This role will also be responsible for the analysis, inventory, maintenance, and monitoring of third party data sharing relationships – both within clients and with our other partners. This role has an operational focus with a balance of strategic thought, tactical planning, and hands-on effort to envision, develop, and guide initiatives to completion – working within a diverse and strongly managed organization. This role reports to the Project Manager that is assigned to the client. *Responsibilities include: * • Responsible for working with clients to define client’s business rules and data governance strategy and structure. • Central liaison for PCDGT serving as a point of contact for all matters brought to the data governance team (DGT); • Assist in the development and implementation of data policies, including the identification and management of policy stakeholders outside of the DGT to be included on a per issues basis; • Work with the Services Implementation Team to ensure the rules and data governance workflow are appropriately accounted for within the data hub implementation. • Manage initial stages of the data policy implementation process and hand-off to implementation teams as appropriate; • Interface with client business personal to align them with data governance strategy and process. • Coordinate the review and communication of data policies with - client’s employees globally; • Guide client employees on appropriate internal data access and use policies, augmenting the data access framework where necessary to accommodate new data types and/or policies; • Provide high value data stewardship. • Direct and guide client employees, including data stewards on their day-to-day steward activities. • Participate in internal and external audits for compliance with data policy and contractual requirements with respect to data handling; • Create and maintain a record of third party data sharing relationships with external supplier and customer data system exchanges, the data elements shared with specific third parties, and the business rules governing shared data; *Minimum Job Qualifications: * • Two to four years of experience in project, policy, and/or product management in a highly technical environment with strong ties to policy and legal compliance, at a senior-level for a company with significant to dedicated online presence; • Experience working within large organizations across multiple teams to achieve common goals; • Understanding of internet technologies (HTML), database structures, and the product development process; MDM product/s and service understanding a plus; • Some familiarity with general legal structures surrounding data relationships with third-parties; • Ability to think and act on the fly in high-pressure situations and be highly adaptable to a rapidly changing climate; • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects, as well appropriately manage expectations; • Attention to detail and the ability to solve complex problems through creative solutions; • Ability to supervisor a small team of data stewards; • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
