*Please send resume to [email protected]* * * *Systems Engineer \ Netbackup* *Location: OH* *Duration: 7 Months* *Pay Rate: $40/hr* *Job Description:* *Required:* - 5 or more years experience with VERITAS NetBackup with a focus on version 6.5.4 - Level 3 troubleshooting knowledge of backup infrastructure technologies including; Netbackup Application, virtual tape, and physical tape with a specialization/focus on: Netbackup 6.5.4 Master and Media Server operational troubleshooting, Storage Lifecycle Policies, Understanding of Master/Media server configuration and best practices - VTL and Deduplication operational troubleshooting (preferably Falconstor) - Understanding of SAN/Network principles - Knowledge of System Administration of Unix and/or Windows NT/2000/2003/2008 platforms. Preferred: -Knowledge of Netbackup, TSM, and Puredisk technologies *Additional Skills* - Communicate with project teams/SAs aiding in the design of a proper project plan to insure data integrity and safety - Work with OS support teams to resolve any O/S, hardware, or network based issues that may impact optimal performance of backup - Work with project team DBA's to implement database API style backups - Work with networking team to troubleshoot connectivity issues - Coordinate with multiple other groups to configure specialized backups.
