Experience working in a matrix organization across multiple organizations to support a given project is required. Incumbent should have experience working in a global /offshore development model. Experience supporting a global product suite is a definite plus. *Education/Experience * - Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required - 10+ years experience required Responsibility level - Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor *Skills * - Strong leadership skills are required. Position will direct technical activity for broad ranging projects. - Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required) - Expert ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required) - Expert knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery. An emphasis will be placed on translating fuzzy business needs into actionable technical requirements and designs. (Required) - Expert ability to solve complex problems. These problems may be technical in design or code artifacts. Additional problem solving regarding project challenges is required. - Experience developing web application in Java, Web sphere, Struts, JavaScript, Client Side technologies, Oracle , XML/XSLT(Required) - Experience with UML, full test search engine technology and/or Microsoft .Net development is a plus *Major Job Duties and Responsibilities * - Working with the Product and UX functions to define actionable technical specification to realize product business needs. - Craft innovative technical solutions that align with LexisNexis architectural goals considering legacy assets and desired end state vision. - Provide framework and constraints to direct the offshore development team in constructing application artifacts. - Work across organizational bounds to determine appropriate integration points between major subsystems. Taking a holistic view insure the appropriate integration is defined to realize the overall business need - Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on assigned components.
