*3 – 6 Months* *Summary*: The successful candidate will provide Oracle RAC configuration and setup as well as providing expertise in RAC related issues. Candidate will administer Oracle RAC application database lifecycle & SQL Server database Lifecycle. Candidate will also provide application development database support as well as database strategic planning, database architectural design and implementation. *Responsibilities*: Both Oracle & SQL Server skill requirements include, but not limited to: • *Oracle database development and production support* on *Linux RedHat & Sun Solaris* • *SQL Server 2008 development and production support* on *Windows 2003* • *SQL Server 2008 Database mirroring* • *Oracle RAC installation & configuration* • *Operational administration of Oracle 11g RAC environment* • *RMAN backup/recovery with RAC* • *Performance tuning* and troubleshooting with *RAC* • Database stability and availability management • Database monitoring & disaster recovery • Database upgrades • Data Warehouse database support including *logical/physical database modeling* • Implementation & Administration of *Oracle OEM/ Grid Control* • Logical and physical data modeling • Database configuration management; database Change control; and database problem resolution. • Configuration & Standards Documentation • Provide 24x7 on-call support • *Data Guard* • *Recover Point* *Required Skills: * The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and a solid Oracle & SQL Server database administration background. The candidate must have implementation and configuration experience in a multi-tiered (web/ application/ database) environment and be able to learn quickly.
