• Knowledge/experience with pension business processes
• Application Support experience in a comparably complex
environment to CDB as described above (6 years)
• Experience with Java application architecture, both online and
batch (3 years)
• Java experience in development and maintenance of an
application comparable to Health Medical as described above (3 years)
• *Java (J2EE), JDBC, Spring Framework, JGoodies, Web Logic and
OC4J* (3 years)
• *Object Modeling* (3 years)
• *Data Modeling* (3 years)
• *Oracle (PL/SQL, Oracle tables and Objects)* (3 years)
• *SQL Tuning* (3 years)
• *RSA Suite* (2 years)
• *UML Modeling* (3 years)
• *ClearCase* (2 years)
• *Unix OS and Shell Scripts* (5 years)
• *Toad, Maestro* (2 years)
• *Knowledge/experience with Governmental Retirement Benefits
Programs functions and processes similar to CalPERS (6 years) *
*The scope of this project encompasses the following tasks: *
• Provide expertise regarding on-line and batch Participant
functionality
• Identification and coordination of potential production batch
issues and changes with other IT affected parties
• Support development of new functionality (Change Controls)
• Provide technical expertise and support for the existing CDB Object
and Data Models as it relates to CDB System applications
• Coordinate with business users and other IT groups on releases and
on other complex application issues
• Support testing and deployment activities (Customer Acceptance Test
(CAT)), Dry run, and implementation
• Participate in CDB Change Control, Data Administration
(DA)/Database Administration (DBA) Change Control, CalPERS’ Enterprise
Change Control, Defect Management, and Release Management meetings as
necessary and appropriate
• Provide expertise and mentoring to CalPERS’ staff, ETO, and other
business users as needed and appropriate
