Role: Senior VMWARE Windows Engineer Location: Marlborough, MA *(In-person Must)* Duration: 6+ Months *Job Summary: * * * *Keys to the Job* 1. Candidate needs to have *VSPhere and V-motion exp*. 2. *4+ years* with *VMWare* 3. Strong *Networking background* - Needs to know how *VMWare integrates * with the entire network. 4. Solid experience working in a *large AD environment* - migrations exp from 2003 - 2008 is a big Plus 5. *Must have Excellent Communication Skills* 6. *Financial Services or Exp working in a Fast Paced environment* is a Must. 7. Candidates need to have Strong *VMWARE and Windows experience*. 8. The candidate will be doing more work on *VMWARE than Windows (60/40 split)* * * *Job Qualifications * * * A candidate must possess the following qualifications: *Technical Qualifications:* 1. 6+ years of managing a Windows Server environment (Windows 2003 Server required) 2. Knowledge of VMware architecture and hands on experience with * V-motion*, ESX Ranger and other virtual management software 3. Experience with Microsoft Clustering 4. Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve independently 5. The ability to design and build an Active Directory infrastructure 6. Hands on management of an Active Directory infrastructure 7. Proficiency in DNS, DHCP and other naming services 8. Server management with an emphasis on HP servers 9. Knowledge of disk management with SAN, NAS and local storage with an emphasis on disk layout and performance 10. Strong systems engineering skills with an emphasis on enterprise scale architecture 11. LINUX skills are highly desired. 12. Understanding of High Availability, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery concepts as they relate to Open Systems architecture.
