Job Title: ETL/Datawarehouse QA Tester Duration: 6+ Months Location: Chicago, IL LOCALS are given first preference - Need only OPT's/EAD/GC/Citizens!!! Requirements: Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation and test execution Design, write and edit test plans to ensure software functions as designed Review system use cases and functional specifications with the appropriate business analyst Identify potential problems, omissions and open issues and attend walk throughs and attend sign off meetings Serve as a coach and mentor to the department staff regarding how to develop and execute a test plan Serve as a process improvement leader for the QA department Responsible for identifying areas for improvements, implementing process improvements and ensuring long term compliance. Act as the lead in managing QA participation in sunset reviews Set policies, standards and procedures for cross-teams system development life cycle, workflow and the interfaces with Product Verification Partner with team to prepare comprehensive QA project plan, estimates as well as the implementation for phases of projects Monitor the schedule of testing phases for all projects based on project specifications, scope, and coverage Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience in similar work environment. Minimum 6 years of IT work experience Testing background and hands on experience with test tools Work toward certifications including: CSQE or CSQA preferred, professional test tool certification (Mercury, Rational, Compuware) Deliverable: Analyzing requirements and developing as well as executing test cases for ETL. Additional Notes: The best candidates have been developers in their past, or have been testers in their past and our now developers and would be willing to go back into a testing lead position. Communication skills must be 10/10; all employees' must sell their ideas and be able to communicate well with This position is mainly ETL testing. While no specific ETL is required, Informatica and Datastage are the common ETL that client uses. At least 3+ years experience with ETL testing Some type of Job Scheduling is a must, if it is Tivoli that is a definite plus The person must be technical MUST know SQL INSIDE AND OUT.
