Celerity is looking specifically for an Open Source Java Developer to support the Media Asset Management development group to design and implement technology solutions for defined business problems related to the management of digital media. This consultant must offer: - *5 years of Java, * - *3 years of Web Development* - *2 years of Web Services expertise* *Required Skills:* 1. Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Equivalent experience 2. Experience; Minimum 5-8 years experience of commercial Java development; Understanding of J2EE including open source, n-tier architecture, object oriented Analysis and Design; Fundamental understanding of web applications, data models and relational databases (preferably Oracle); Experience in and success with Agile software development methodologies, especially Scrum and eXtreme Programming (XP); Experience utilizing continuous integration environments and comprehensive xUnit testing and TDD (test driven development); Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), SOAP, ReST, Web Services; Contributor to the Open Source Community preferred 3. Position: *Web Services Developer* Location: *Knoxville, TN* Duration: *6 Months* *F2f after telephonic* *Project Description: * Client is looking to hire a Java Web Services Developer to support the Application Development group to design and implement technology solutions for defined business problems related to the management of digital media and financial applications. * Job Description:* The Celerity consultant will perform the following functions: 1. Designs, develops, modifies and implements middleware software components on application servers to be used on web or n-tier applications. 2. Develops and assesses technical architecture, design, and framework. 3. Contributes to the overall software development lifecycle including requirements gathering/analysis, design, development technologies, release/version control, testing, and deployment. 4. Develops technical specifications and documentation. Performs application testing of components, modifications, and overall systems. 5. Develops documentation for applications. 6. Assists in task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing. 7. Reviews the work of other peers on project teams. 8. Works in close partnership with other team members and other teams. *This position requires a minimum of:** * - *Five years of Java and Web Development experience* - *Two recent years of experience developing in an Agile environment.* * Required Skills:* 1. Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Equivalent experience 2.
