POSITION SUMMARY


 

This position will be responsible for technical testing including unit and
system testing. The QA tester will work with an integrated team of
developers, project managers and CLIENT business units. The primary
objective will be to drive the testing process which includes the creation
of testing scenarios to the execution of testing scenarios, regression
testing, and problem management.  The tester will be responsible for issue
tracking through generation of reports and weekly status meetings where the
tester will identify any major concerns. 

 

 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


 

The QA tester will have extensive knowledge in software testing
methodologies and the system development life cycle.  The QA tester will
design and maintain test plans, create test scenarios with the assistance of
the business process analysts. The QA tester will be responsible for
performing unit testing, integration testing, performance testing,
functional testing, and user interface testing for MyCLIENT.com portals,
Great Plains and CRM using the plans, tools and test cases developed.
Participation in design reviews and portal demonstrations is essential to
performing these duties. The QA tester will create testing templates to be
used by other testers. The candidate will create testing summary reports
communicating to the project team all testing results.  Finally, the QA
tester will prioritize defects using an understanding of the business
requirements.

 


The following essential duties and responsibilities for this position
include:


1.    Contribute to the entire software development life cycle from project
initiation to deployment.

2.    Design and implement test scenarios and cases (with focus on
integration).

3.    Create and implement test plans for projects.

4.    Create and update testing documentation and quality assurance tools as
needed.

5.    Lead all testing efforts including integration and performance
testing.

6.    Work with multiple database interfaces and be familiar with standard
web architectures.

7.    Assist in implementation of QA standards and continual improvement
activities.

8.    Support applications as needed.

 

 




EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


 

.         Bachelor in Engineering or Computer Science

.         Practical working knowledge of software testing methodology

.         Strong oral and written communication skills

.         Ability to work independently

.         5+ years experience in software testing and quality assurance

.         Experience with CRM 4.0 and Great Plains preferred
