*Position: LEAD ANDROID DEVELOPER* *Location: NYC, NY* *Duration: 6 months * * * *Position Overview* A Lead Android Developer should be able to technically design and conceptualize custom Android applications. The candidate should be able provide valuable inputs during the discovery phase and establish best practices specifically required for making applications for multiple Android platforms and devices. The candidate should be able to develop an Android application from the conception through submittal to the Android marketplace. Tech Leads are expected to work independently and deliver high quality code in a timely manner across a variety of project engagements. They are expected to guide junior developers. They are also responsible for code reviews and standards and best practices enforcement. Tech Leads are expected to participate in multiple phases of projects, including requirements gathering, software design, development and testing. Candidates must be proficient with Java and object-oriented programming, including software design and design patterns. Candidates must be proficient with standard JAVA development tools, including ADT plugin, JUnit, and popular IDE’s such as Eclipse. Proficiency with open source frameworks or third party libraries is specifically required for Android applications. Candidates must have IT consulting experience and be familiar with a team approach to execution.
