Job Description: Job Summary
The Hyperion Administrator position will be responsible for the technical
support of the global financial application (Hyperion). Primary activities
would consist of performing application administration & maintenance
activities such as creation, configuration, migration, copy, or restore of
applications, patching & software installation. Responsibilities include
the recommendation and execution of best practice maintenance & support
processes, policies and procedures as well as proactive application
monitoring and alerting in support of SLA targets. Strong teamwork is
required with the application support, server and network teams to manage,
troubleshoot, and respond to system issues.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

60 Technical administrative support of the Hyperion landscape, including
architecture, monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting
20 Provides input to standards, approaches, tools, and development
methodologies to help streamline the technical support of the application
10 Stays abreast of relevant technologies and provides input to the
development and implementation of the global IT strategy
10 Follows appropriate System Development Life Cycle process and
documentation standards

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., KSAs)
§ Ability to work within a team environment and build relationships
internal and external.
§ Ability to deliver, meet deadlines and have results orientation.
§ Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to
multiple levels of the company.
§ Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
§ Technical acumen - Strong domain knowledge within overall Hyperion
environment.
Education / Experience Requirements
§ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or
related field.
§ 2-5 years of professional-level experience with the end to end
technical implementation and support of Hyperion Applications:
Architecture, design, installation, tuning, monitoring
and administrative support of enterprise-scale EPM applications
(Hyperion 11.x - Planning, Essbase, HFM, DRM, FDM, ODI, Web Analysis,
Financial Reports, Smartview).
§ Understanding/experience of Life Sciences industry preferred.
§ Experience within an ITIL and SOX compliant environment is preferred.
§ Knowledge of common server OS and administration (Windows/VMware).
§ Familiarity with the Oracle database platform and database scripting &
queries.
§ Knowledge of applicable networking tools and technologies (Active
Directory, DNS, LDAP, etc).
§ Experience with running Hyperion in a Citrix environment preferred.
§ Understand and adhere to all phases of the Systems Development Life
Cycle (SDLC).
§ Adept at creating technical architecture documentation (Word, Visio,
PowerPoint).
