Job Role: Datastage Architect Location: Deerfield, IL. Duration: 7 + months Client: CSC Job Description: Bachelor's Degree with 3 to 5 years experience. Main Responsibilities: Provides architectural oversight for the development of moderately complex new and/or enhanced applications or products. Integrates components built by application developers and/or programmers as needed. Conducts technical research, testing, evaluation and documentation of moderately complex hosting/configuration tools and methodologies to ensure that tools are current and functional. Creates application architectures and populates application host/configuration matrices with appropriate strategies, timelines and cost information to increase cost efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinates with application developers, managers and customer application experts to ensure that required features and modifications are included in the appropriate releases to support cross-product features and to communicate architectural designs and standards. Designs application modules that work together to produce desired product. Ensures that completed modules provide functionality described by application experts and that performance guidelines are met Skills 3+ years experience in Datastage Architecture with designing Data Marts fed by data from ERP Supply Chain and Financial Hyperion interface. - 3+ years experience in Post Production Monitoring and Support the jobs running in Datastage through Control M. - Debug and Resolve any job failures in Datastage, Oracle and UNIX. - Ability to communicate with business on any issues reported with the data and do the root cause. - Ability to apply past knowledge to provide suggestion to improve quality of support. - Work collaboratively across enterprise to provide technology solutions/support services related to Datastage/Cognos technology. - Debug any issues reported in Cognos Reports/Cubes if Cognos experience. - Ability to do root cause and communicate to the business. - Ability to apply operational processes that include best practices in administrative support and production support. Ensure all processes are properly documented, accurate and up-to-date Overall experience required: 6+ years.
