*Job Purpose*





The DevOps Engineer will be sharing their duties with the other two members
of the Release/DevOps team which is responsible for all aspects of the
software build and release process and for maintaining the deployment
environments. The current SDLC has a lot of room for improvement and will
allow the right individual with a drive for automation not only to develop
a broad range of skills but also to be creative and see their
implementations significantly impact the efficiency of the development team



*Main Accountabilities*

·         Responsible for coordinating the releases and deploying multi
component software into various environments including production

·         Developing and maintaining build and release automation processes
and implementing them across the SDLC (Git, Teamcity, powershell, Jira)

   - Working closely with Project Managers, Development, Support and QA
   teams to provide them with tools and processes that meet their requirements
   - Provide support for the development teams in any configuration
   management related issues
   - Support and admin of the current version control (Git), the build
   server (TeamCity) and the defect/issue tracking tool (Jira),
   - Contributing to the strategy and vision of the Continuous Integration
   and delivery
   - Server admin of machines relevant to the SDLC (machines hosting the
   configuration management tools, the UAT and the production environment)
   - Managing the deployment environments including IIS administration,
   load balancing, distributed cashing, DNS settings etc.






*Key Skills*







   - Build and configuration management experience in a multi-team
   environment
   - Good scripting skills and/or some developer experience
   - Good knowledge of version control concepts (merging, branching
   strategies etc.)
   - Good knowledge of Continuous Integration implementations
   - Basic knowledge of Windows Server and network administration (IIS
   admin, DNS setting etc.)
   - Basic knowledge of Distributed Cashing and Load Balancing concepts

*Key Technical Skills*



·         CI/Build server experience, e.g.: TeamCity, Jenkins

·         Version control - e.g.: Git/Svn

·         Scripting - e.g.: powershell, perl, sh

·         Defect/issue tracking tools - e.g.: Jira

·         IIS administration

·         .Net environment
