Title: Data Architect Location: San Francisco, CA
Length: 1 Year+ System limitations and capacity. Prepares detail specifications for developers. Provides technical expertise in evaluating new software modifications that will enhance operating and development activities. Key Responsibilities • Work with Business and Information Systems stakeholders to establish next generation risk data information and analytics solutions. • Define database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming; reviewing objectives with stakeholders; evaluating current systems. • Develop solutions by designing proposed systems and integration patterns; defining database logical and physical structures and functional capabilities, and security specifications. • Establish architecture and technology roadmaps for near and longer term information systems solutions. • Oversee integration of multiple systems with similar target clients. • Develop a process for transforming prototype systems into components of one integrated SSGX platform. Experience including: • Systems design and development. • Data analysis. • Relational data modeling, including working with entity relationship diagrams (ERDs) and data dictionaries. • UML. • MapReduce technology. (Hadoop, Horton Works, Cloudera, Pivotal BDS etc.) • NoSQL technologies. (MongoDB, CouchDB, BigTable, etc.) • Cloud-driven solutions. • Time series databases. • ESB message design. • Legacy systems analysis and remediation. • Systems/data migration. • ETL technologies. (Informatica, Talend, etc.) • Data integration patterns and strategies. • Data warehousing and data mart design. Desired Qualifications • Real-time messaging bus architecture experience. (Tibco Rendezvous, MQ Series, etc.) • Some programming experience e.g., R, Matlab, SAS, Python, Java. • Experience with the FIX messaging protocol. • Experience with market data feeds. • Experience with in-memory database design.
