Thank you so much. I just got back from a long walk with a friend.
We walked through a complicated neighborhood to get to our
destination. The map worked really well, and navigated us through
several turns to get to the destination. I did press the select key
and chose details. I would only use this option only if I really
needed to use it. Even in the detail mode, the navigational voice
continues to operate, but so does the talks voice. As I said, I would
only choose details only if I really needed to know address,
coordinates, etc. The map really work extremely good under difficult
conditions. Thank you for all of your help and encouragement.

pressing 4 only seems to work on drive mode. I think that if you are
in walk
mode, and you press 1, it does do the same as the select pressing the
options key. Pressing 1 seems to change the map view mode, but
pressing
selet gives you different options such as explore and details...

it,
when
you are in drive navigation mode, pressing 4 will repeat how far you
are
from your next turn. for example, when in drive mode, presssing 4
will
say
after 200 yards, turn on Grant streeet or after 345 yards, exit onto
highway
23. you can press it repeatedly and it should work pretty well. When
you are
in walk mode, presssing the central select button while on the
navigation
screen will give you options such as explore or show details. Show
details
will give you the address and streeet you are around and should
provide you
with cordinates.

I've just installed Ovi Maps onto my E71, and it seems to be a
pretty
cool app. Since the design of the version for the E71 is slightly
different to that of the version designed for FP2 devices, I had to
learn where the different icons were on the screen, which I was
successfully able to do with a little sighted asistance.
I'm wondering, however, what are the general keys that perform
functions? For example, while a navigation is in progress, is there
currently any way of finding out which road/streat I'm on?
Also, does the program currently support any accessible way of
looking
for POIS?
