Hi everyone,

Thanks to those who could make it to our meeting yesterday! For those
who couldn't make or who wish to review what was discussed here's a link
to the meeting recording:

The first part of the meeting was a presentation of our plan to extend
the BGP support and allow EVPN integration. This was followed by a
discussion on this topic with some of the community members.

The slides I used for the EVPN discussion are publicly available here:

If I'm not wrong there was no major opposition to the proposal so I'll
try to work on a first version of this feature in the near future.

In the second part of the meeting Felix presented some of the scaling
problems and some potential solutions that would allow their deployments
to scale better. The proposal (if I understand correctly) is to allow
ovn-northd to connect to multiple NB/SB databases. ovn-northd would
only provision SB contents in the SB database for which those contents
are relevant. In practice that should reduce the size of each
individual SB database.

Felix, please correct me if I missed/misunderstood anything.

For our next meeting, I'm thinking of:
June 23rd, 3PM UTC

I'll wait a few days before sending out the actual invite in case people
prefer a different date/time.

Thanks again for joining!

Best regards,
Dumitru
