IMPACT - International Multilateral Partnership Against Cyber Threats is the first comprehensive global public - private partnership, bringing together governments, industry leaders and cyber security experts to enhance the global community's capacity to prevent, defend and respond to cyber threats. The ability to preserve and analyse data found on digital storage media, computer systems and networks is essential for understanding and mitigating cyber threats against IT infrastructures. The ability to forensically analyse these devices and systems in a manner that preserves critical information is essential. The forensics professional must be highly competent in collecting, examining, analysing and reporting on digital evidence. Participants will gain real world knowledge and skills to analyse network traffic, improve network security and reliability, and protect networks from malicious and criminal attacks. Participants will learn techniques to identify suspect traffic pattern, identify a breached host, identify signs of bots running in a network and the techniques to deal with and manage compromised machines. Participants will also learn the latest Botnet technology, functions and activities that enable them to defend their network effectively. This five (5) full-day course is developed specially for computer forensics practitioners, network administrators, system administrators, penetration testers, security incident handlers, IT security managers and practitioners. The instructor, Ryan Connolly, founded eKrios Systems LLC in 2010, and formerly worked as Team Cymru's representative in Asia. He has more than 10 years of hands-on experience in network security analysis, computer forensics and software engineering. Ryan is focused on spreading security awareness, providing security training and assisting with collaborative efforts in the service provider security community.
