Hello from Gregg C Levine
Paul, everyone, is the DS2423 supported completely? I am reexamining
one or two older One-Wire projects, including one that does stuff with
the DS2423. It's original problem was tracking down a supply of these
Wiegand switches. From the data sheet, "Active-low external trigger
inputs for two of the counters with on-chip debouncing compatible with
reed and Wiegand switches".

My efforts with reed switches was, ah, inconclusive. This was of
course before the creation of the OWFS project.

I think I managed to find a rather limited supply of these Wiegand
switches, they were bought at a place in Manhattan that's famous for
selling salvage. The Owner is something of a (Insert your favorite
insulting typical American phrase), but his staff, two sons, and two
others, are good people.

Of course my one problem is in how to communicate with the device. I
am hoping that our OWFS project can facilitate support for it.

Incidentally I'll have photos of everything from my sled mounted
DS2423, to a selected sampling of sensors on my website, in a few
hours.
