Hi Paul,

Thankyou for your very quick reply!

Using my already-installed owfs-2.5p0, I've now tried again using
' /opt/owfs/bin/owfs -F -u --mountpoint /mnt/onewire --error_level 4' at the
command line, and the resulting printout is:
        CONNECT: fuse mount point: /mnt/onewire
           CALL: PARSENAME path=[]
        CONNECT: Adapter found: 002/002
DEFAULT: Opened USB DS9490 adapter at 002/002.
           DATA: DS9490_setup_adapter: done (ret=0)
           DATA: DS9490_overdrive()
DATA: BUS_first: No data will be returned
           DATA: DS9490_reset
           DATA: DS9490_reset: ok
           DATA: DS9490_reset
           DATA: DS9490_reset: ok
CONNECT: Good DS1421 tag found for 002/002
        DEFAULT: Set DS9490 002/002 unique id to FFFFFF81 3C 67 25 00 00 00
FFFFFF8B

If, however, I then type 'ls' at the shell prompt (as root user), nothing is
listed.  Same applies for viewing the directory /mnt/onewire via konquorer;
nothing visible.

I have now downloaded and installed owfs-2.5p1 (killed owfs and then
restarted). In response to typing ' /opt/owfs/bin/owfs -F -u
--mountpoint /mnt/onewire --error_level 4' at the command line, I get the
same shelloutput as obtained with owfs-2.5p0. Also, no response to 'ls' at
the command line.

I want to be able to programme the DS1921G (and hopefully later too, the
DS1922L when support is implemented) to collect termperature data (start of
mission timing, frequency of sampling, fixed mission length or rollover). I
also want to be able to access that data directly, both as a data set and as
a graphical representation (in a browser or otherwise).

So far, in an attempt to view the data graphically, I've been mucking around
with templogged, unsuccessfully though. When I start owfs with the correct
command line (thankyou for that), then visit the web page
'http://localhost/cgi-bin/21.38E215000000.temperature.cgi', no graph is
presented. Rather, that page shows:

        Temperature graph
[ERROR: Could not make sense out of '']
        Data during this period
Last data : [ERROR: reading the cookie
        off /home/.......etc...../temploggerd/rrd/temperature.rrd faild]

Can you see anything else that I'm doing wrong, which might explain why I
can't see files in the DS1921G using owfs ?

Cheers

Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
Get stuff done quickly with pre-integrated technology to make your job easier
Download IBM WebSphere Application Server v.1.0.1 based on Apache Geronimo
