Here is an update of my topology when having problem to read correct values
from the temperature sensors.
Linux-server Linux-server WRT54G WRT54G
Owfs -> owserver -> owserver <- owfs
| |
temploggerd DS9097U with 12 DS1820.
Reading both cached and uncached values from my Linux-server's owfs only
read OLD cached values.
Reading uncached values from WRT54G's owfs return a new value and the cache
is updated. Next read from the Linux-servers owfs will return this new
value.
The problem I have noticed is probably only showing up when you have
multiple owservers connecting to eachother.

It still seem to be some problems with the cache.
I use temploggerd to create graphs, and most of the temperature sensors
return the same value all the time now.
Some of the temperature sensors are read from multiple applications (such as
outdoor sensor which is also read uncached frequently),
and that specific sensor return correct value.

Temploggerd works something like this.
loop
Write 1 to /simultaneous/temperature
Read /tmp/1wire/10.*/temperature
Create graph
Sleep 60
End loop
Do you have any idea if the cache-code still is broken in combination with
simultaneous?

Uncached was broken! (Fixed in the CVS). Thanks for the report.
I'm not sure if your problem (Simultaneous pinning the result) is fixed too.
I'm still testing.

It seem like I was wrong. Reading the whole night from uncached returns
the same constant value again. The problem seems to be
/simultaneous/temperature. I wrote 1 there before reading. Removing this
makes returns changed values with cached and uncached reads.
