www.futurlec.com sells an opto-isolated four-relay board that's capable of
switching normal house current (and higher if I remember right).  There's a
small area on the board where additional components can be added.  I added
four DS2405s there to make a 1wire relay board.  The relay board needs 5V
for the logic and 12V for the relays.  I think the board was only about $13.

Use e.g. a MOC3023 optocouple with triac output to switch a power triac
e.g.
TIC206D (easy to get) or BTA10 (insulated mounting tab).

That datasheet cointains application circuits for 110 and 220V. For 24V,
extrapolate a bit.
