Hello,
I haven't said much for a long time here, but the last time I had this
problem, and I still have it.

I think I have built a DS9097 adaptor, from the schematic on
http://wwwmnmteam.informatik.uni-muenchen.de/~roelle/private/1-wire/rs232_adapter-1.0/

This SHOULD work, but neither OWServer, nor Dallas' OWBrowser finds the
device. I have no external devices attached, but surely the bus master
should be found?

- From looking at the Dallas/Maxim website, it looks like I need a DS2480B
for the device to work. (That is, if I understood the schematic - I
don't recognise a couple of the symbols, so I may need parts I have
never heard of.)

Does anyone know of a SIMPLE adaptor that I could build for a COM or USB
port, that doesn't involve spending vast quantities of money on
shipping? (Dallas Semis want to charge me $50 to ship a product to the
UK!?!)

Chris
