No, I have not ruled that out - I've had it kinda going already but need to experiment some more as there seems to be a variety of ways to utilise an external USB stick as in make it have the root file system or not or just packages etc. It's kinda nice to have it all work with no extra things required but a USB stick would be fine and probably what I will end up doing. > BTW, if you're not wedded to the NSLU2, might I recommend a Pogoplug or > one of the variants (eg: Dockstar for ~$50 on EBay)? I have the NSLU2 already and it should be capable of doing what I need - also I'm not in USA so the freight for these things can cost as much as the device IF they will ship internationally... I have been monitoring the Plug computers - the most recent DreamPlug looks to be good - sorted out overheating issues of predecessors: http://www.globalscaletechnologies.com/t-dreamplugdetails.aspx Alex ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WhatsUp Gold - Download Free Network Management Software The most intuitive, comprehensive, and cost-effective network management toolset available today.
