A few weeks ago, there was a discussion about the unstable owserver with usb and longer cables. Is there a solution for it? On my setup (see below) i have a similar problem where it falls of at different intervals.
I recently experience a similar problem? : i have a diy usb uplink with 4 Ds2423 counters and 21 temperature sensors (mixed DS18s20 and ds18b20) the temperature sensors are parasite powered, and there is a backup battery per 2 ds2423. the whole thing is powered by a 5V power supply (no power from usb) the whole setup is connected to a nslu2 running unslung and owfs (2.7.x if i remember correctly, the last officially compiled for unslung) sometimes i get a problem that everything is gone, only the 2 ds2423 remain (on the board that is connected the first to the usb uplink)(everything else is connected form this board) the only way to recover is to disconnect the cables form this board and reconnect them (with usb uplink active, nslu2 with owfs running) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ For Developers, A Lot Can Happen In A Second.
