It's the same as this http://owfs.org/uploads/images/TAI8590_Text_User_Interface.gif but without the DS2890 There are 3 pins left on DS2408 in mine I connected 1 pin to backlight through a transistor another to a button and third to additional LED. But I think that the better approach is to use Maxim design with 8 outputs for LCD and add another DS2408 for input buttons. DS2408 has latching so you don't have to push the button while reading it just remembers the pushbutton. I don't know if it's possible to mix it with LCD output on one DS2408 -- p4trykx |
