Hello,

I think about the following scenario:

[owfs] --------+- /dev/i2c-1 --I2C-bus--+-- DS248x --w1-bus-- 1-wire devices
               | |
other software-+ +-- other I2C device

Is it possible to have "other software" communication with "other I2C
device" running while owfs is in action (e.g. owserver running) on the same
I2C character device?

This boils down to the following questions:
1. Would it be possible to open /dev/i2c-1 twice without interferance between
processes?
2. If not. When does owfs open the device? is it held open all the time or
is it just opened for communication?

Regards

Sven
